Your early comments are valuable and will help us develop our proposals in a way that enables us to take your experience and ideas into account.<span> </span>Later in the process we plan to hold a formal public consultation on our draft proposals. This is likely to be during 2012.</div>

<div><span><strong>Literature Review: Impact of CPD in Dentistry</strong></span></div>
<div><span>In August 2011 we commissioned a team of researchers, under the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK), to conduct a literature review on the impact of CPD in dentistry. The final report is now available:</span></div>

<div><span><strong>Registrant and provider perspectives on mandatory CPD in dentistry in the UK</strong></span></div>
<div><span>We are currently conducting a study into registrant and CPD provider perspectives on CPD.<span> </span>We have commissioned ERS:R (Electoral Reform Services Research) to conduct an online survey of a random representative sample of dentists and DCPs.<span> </span>Some GDC registrants are now being invited to take part in this study that will make an important contribution to the CPD review.</span></div></div>
